This model was very fun to design, and took a fair bit of trial and error to get the asymmetrical structure to work. I am very proud of how the wings came out, and the amount of detail I achieved in the face.
This design also ended up being a test of my patience, as I had to scrap my first fold in the shaping stage due to issues with the paper (I had used double tissue, which ended up too thin). The next day I treated and dyed paper, precreased, collapsed, and began shaping over the course of many hours. While tedious, this second fold came out much better and using wenzhou helped the shaping significantly.
