As a designer I've come to learn how iterative the origami design process is, and how important revisions are in making a model you are satisfied with. This design is a perfect example of that, as it takes my previous mammoth design and builds on it to make a result I am much more satisfied with. Shortly after finishing the previous version, I discovered a much more elegant and efficient way of arranging the head structure, one that would give it more accurate proportions an make precreasing a whole lot easier. In addition, I felt a little unhappy with the simplicity of the head in the previous version, and felt like I could shape it better. I decided to quickly fold this new version before the deadline of the 2nd round of the origamidan design tournament and resubmit. In the end, I ended up much happier with the overall structure and the shaping, especially in the head.
